I agree with Victor, Justinmind Protoyper is for sure the most powerful prototyping tool! you can design, create links and animation and it even simulates database without any coding.

You could take a look at Justinmind Prototyper too. It can simulate AJAX effects with ease and even data interactions.

@Eric, I think Axure can simulate the AJAX effect, and ForeUI is another good choose.

@eric and @mudassir I didn't "miss' basalmiq, I chose not to include it in my book at this time since at the time of writing, it was fairly new and had a very small userbase (still does). I'm keeping an eye on it, as it does have a fanbase.

To say there's nothing easier and faster for prototyping is a bit of a stretch. It's a decent product, just not one that was covered this time around. I found close to 200 different tools and you have to draw the line somewhere.

And who knows, you just might see Balsamiq in v2 of Prototyping.

To Eric,

Yes Balsamiq is great! I love it and mostly all my Sketches in it.

However I am not able to put the "AJAX" Effects in to the Balsamiq Sketches, may be SketchFlow is the one can give a good idea of "how it will end up looking" but it is Silverlight stuff, duno if it can be done for HTML?

Take Care,
