Hi Fer,

As the other co-founder of PersuasionAPI (the Persuasion Profiling Startup) I would like to say that:
- if ethics is your thing; Maurits Kaptein & Dean Eckles did give it some serious thought. See Dean's blog: http://www.deaneckles.com/blog/532_ethical-persuasion-profiling/

- Persuasion Profiling doesn't differ from what businesses (mainly marketers) already wanted to for years. The profession of marketing (in general) is not seen as unethical, persuasion profiling is just an advanced form of marketing.

Does that answer your question? If not, please let me know what aspects of persuasion profiling you think could be unethical.

Interesting topic. I can see the business desire for the results of such research but as you commented, I wonder about the ethical implications that will arise were it readily available. Have you given some thought to how you'll bridge that ethical/practical divide?
