Now if we can figure out an algorithm to parse out the &quot;over-sharing&quot; and noise we would all be in a better place. 

All social etiquette aside and on a fun note: who wrote the rule of &quot;follow back?&quot; If someone is stalking you in real life do you stalk back? 

And to your point Thomas - it seems we one day work up and everyone suddenly is a brand and an expert. Everyone has social capital and uses it as leverage to tweet - expert or not. Hopefully its an interim phase of the information age.</description>

I still think this notion has some truth, but noise is starting to dilute, on a perceptual level, the amount of capital one can borrow fron another. When I tweet this article, will my followers know it is written by an expert in the field and published on a well-known blog, thus lending me some of your social capital? Or will that be lost in the shuffle of constantly updating feeds?</description>
