This is the lecture that Scott Jenson (Google) gave at Stanford University as part of its HCI Seminar lecture series, February 2007. Some of his points may seem less relevant now that the iPhone and Android are taking over, but most people in the world are still using feature phones, and much of what Jenson says applies to smartphones too.
