The Premier League is full of talent, which is what makes it renowned around the world as the greatest league. Fans from every continent (aside from maybe Antarctica) continue to tune in each time there is a match played, as they want to be entertained by the best football that can be witnessed.
Of course, the rosters that the teams have managed to assemble have helped to make the Premier League appealing. Fans are able to see some of the biggest names and established stars work their magic on the pitch as they look to try and help their club achieve their aims and goals for the season.
Youngsters just as exciting as the senior players
However, while there are many well-known individuals on the pitch who may play at the international level or have been known to win various accolades, the English league is also a brilliant place to watch some of the youngest talent coming through the game.
These youngsters can add and bring something new to the pitch that some of the senior players may not want to try or are capable of doing. They may be braver to try and test themselves with the ball as they may play without fear as they look to try and take their chance in the team and give it their all. At the same time, they may have a level of desire and hunger that established professionals may have lost or feel they no longer need to show because they continue to hold on to their position in the team. Unfortunately, this is something that many football fans can see often.
Which youngsters should be kept an eye on in 2023/24?
With the Premier League bursting with young talent, there is an abundance of young players with huge amounts of potential who can have a breakout season and announce their arrival on the grandest stage of them all.
Many of England’s Under-21 stars from the summer will be hoping to kick on where possible following their Euro U21 success. They defeated Spain in the competition, and many will have hoped they gave their managers too much to ignore and hand them their chance. Fans would have been left impressed with their performances, and it would not be a shock if they were to want to see them kick on even more when they watch live sports on Unibet throughout the course of the 2023/24 season. Elsewhere, there will be foreign players new to the league that have arrived with expectations, too. But which of the youngsters are the ones to keep a close eye on as they could potentially shine?
Matheus Franca (19)
Crystal Palace surprised many when they were able to announce the signing of Matheus Franca this summer, with the 19-year-old thought to have been courted by some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. The Brazilian will arrive with expectations as a lot has been said about him, while he will also likely be tasked with filling Wilfried Zaha’s shoes. He could thrive, though, as Roy Hodgson’s squad is young, and his pace and ability could be something that many defences ultimately struggle to handle.
James Trafford (20)
Having been one of England’s U21 heroes, James Trafford secured a move from Manchester City to Burnley. The move will give him the chance to shine on the biggest stage, and there would not be many that would be surprised if he was to be a huge star for Vincent Kompany’s side. There will be a lot of pressure on his shoulders, so it will be up to him to manage it, especially as he came with a hefty price tag.
Evan Ferguson (18)
Breaking out for Brighton last season under Roberto De Zerbi, Evan Ferguson can be expected to have another superstar year for the Seagulls. There is not much that the club from the south coast get wrong with the group of players that they have, and the Irishman is certainly proof of that. The 18-year-old managed six goals last term and has already opened his account for this year after two games. His performances have already seen him earn senior caps for the Republic of Ireland national team. It would not be a surprise if he took his game to new heights in the 2023/24 Premier League season.
